August 22 & 23 – ‘The Nine’ at Bright Box Theater, Painting The Music!!

I’ve got a couple cool shows coming up this weekend that I’d love to see some folks at. Friday night at 8 pm I’ll be playing the lovely Bright Box Theater in Winchester VA, sharing the stage with eight other singer-songwriters as part of the ‘Nine’ Songwriter Series. This is my second time performing there, and it’s going to be a great show, with lots of collaborations between musicians, and probably some saxophoning as well.

Saturday at 3 pm, I’ll be at the Village at Leesburg, performing solo acoustic with live painters creating art right next to me. It’s a series called “Painting The Music“, and my friends Dan Fisk, Justin Trawick, and Dave Mallen will also be performing. All art will be auctioned off at the end of the show. This will be fun, so if you’re in the Leesburg area, do stop by!

Last but not least, I’ll be at Bluemont Vineyards on Sunday at 1 pm. And that evening, I’ll be playing at the Northside Social Open Mic in Clarendon, VA. I started hosting this open mic back in 2009, and in 2012 my friends Derek Evry and Margot MacDonald took over. After five years, the open mic is being canceled by the venue – so I’m going to stop by, share some stories, and play a few songs.
