Although busy as these days as a singer, songwriter, acoustic performer, and bandleader for Ken Wenzel & Cross Kentucky, Ken’s first instrument (and first love) was the saxophone. Mainly a tenor player, he plays all saxophones, flute, clarinet, and piano.

Ken has played and toured with a number of major artists, including Carlos Santana (2004 Montreux Jazz Festival), Noel Gallagher & High Flying Birds, Ben Vereen, Bobby Parker & The Blues Night Band, Chuck Brown, Frankie Avalon (Grease! North American Tour),  and many others.

Ken often gets calls for studio recording. He’s recorded for many of the top studios in the DC area, including Jim Ebert and Sean Russell at Cue Studios,  Marco Del Mar at Recording Arts Studios,  Mark Williams at Sucker Punch Recording Co., Dave Mallen at Innovation Station Studios, and Todd Wright at Half King Studios, among others.

To book Ken for studio time, live performance, or touring, feel free to email him at ken@kenwenzelmusic.com.
