August 14 – Virginia Cannon Presents: Writers’ Night at Aloft Nashville!!

I’m back in Nashville for a couple days, and I’m looking forward to playing a cool writer’s round tomorrow night. For those of you who might not know, writer’s rounds are a type of show mostly unique to Nashville. Eight or nine writers (not necessarily performers, but the songwriters who compose the songs that you hear country stars sing) sit in a row onstage, and tell stories behind the songs they wrote. Its a laid-back, informal kind of show – great for meeting people, and listening to what other writers are doing. I’ll be playing a few songs from …Beneath Potomac Skies, and a couple newer ones as well.

The show is at the Aloft Hotel West End, 1719 West End Ave. in Nashville. The show starts at 7pm, and is free. If you’re in Nashville, do come out!! It’d be great to see you.
